Welcome to 'Did We Just Become Milfs?'-your weekly dose of mom therapy, the podcast where we dive headfirst into the wild and wonderful world of motherhood while simultaneously fighting to keep our own identity alive.
We officially have a one year old, and over the past year we have done multiple trips with and without our baby. Our family lives on the opposite side of the country from us so we have done the trip from California to New York more times than I can count as well as a trip to Mexico and let me tell you, we’ve really gotten this travel with a baby down.
The fourth trimester (yes, I’m calling it another trimester) is a wild adventure. There is so much going on, your body is healing, you are figuring out a new routine with your partner, learning what your new little human likes and doesn’t like and becoming the most raw version of yourself before blossoming into the next phase of you - the mom you.
Okay I love meal prepping things that both me and my baby can eat so I’m not making a million different meals or getting the kitchen dirty over and over again. Additionally, anything that can create more than one meal at a time is a win for me!
If you’re thinking about taking a trip or just a few days away as new parents but are nervous and not sure if it’s a good idea, I’m here to tell you to do it! Here’s how we prepared to leave our baby for the first time and some of the links of outfits I wore while we were there.
Sharing how I prepared for and navigated 9 months of breastfeeding, getting my baby through intense bottle refusing, eventually choosing to wean and what that process was like. There are tons of tips and personal anecdotes in here I hope you find this helpful!
Harper has been eating solids since right before she turned 6 months. We gave her mashed banana as her first food followed by mashed avocado a few days later. While I have many friends who have immediately started their babies with baby led weaning, my husband and I felt more comfortable easing into it so we have stuck to mostly purees over the last 2 months and our daughter absolutely loves it!
This week I sat down with a dear friend and fellow new mama Katrina Scott and discussed all things postpartum, mental health, and relationships on her podcast “Live Beautifully with Katrina Scott. Tune into the the full episode on Apple Podcasts or on her website!
Let’s talk about creating a special routine for you and your belly during pregnancy. This is such a special time to create a sacred routine and build an amazing relationship with yourself and your baby!

Recapping the hotel we stayed at & why I think it’s absolutely perfect for any baby moon. Linking pieces I wore on the trip as well!
Current pieces I am loving right now that have helped give our home a fresh feel!
